Touring Park

March - October

Howgill Lodge is a small select park with magnificent views and modern facilities. The park is terraced to give privacy and uninterrupted views of the Yorkshire countryside and has held the David Bellamy Gold Award for conservation for over 10 years. Facilities include a well stocked shop, Payphone, gas supplies, toilets, hot showers, shaver points and hairdryers, laundry room and washing up sinks. The site has 10amp electric hook ups available to all caravan pitches and some of the tent pitches. Every pitch has its own picnic table. All pitches are level with caravans on hard standing and tents on grass.

A deposit of £25 for short stays is required to book a pitch, £45 deposit for Bank Holidays and stays of 4 nights or more.

Arrivals after 1 pm and departures are before 12 noon. This is important to avoid caravans meeting in our entrance.

Caravans - you will need heavy duty pegs for your awning, sorry but we don’t allow awning bedroom annexes as they don’t tend to fit on our terraces. Some of our pitches require reversing to get onto, so it is helpful if you can tell us if you have a motor mover fitted, please just add a comment to your booking.

Campervans can be accommodated on hardstanding or grass pitches, If you have a large awning, wider than 3 metres, please ring to book as we only have a few pitches which can accommodate them.

March - October

Most of our grass pitches are on terraces, many of an individual nature, so it is important that we know the size of your tent including any porches/extensions to ensure you will fit on the pitch, we cannot accommodate tents over 7.5 metres. Sorry but Gazebos are not allowed due to space limitations and fire regulations.

Hikers - it is our policy not to turn away hikers but please ring or e-mail if you can.

Groups - We don’t take group bookings of more than 3 families together, online booking only allows 1 pitch to be booked at a time, so if you are with someone else please let us know and we will try to pitch you together. We don’t accept all adult groups or unaccompanied youths although we do accept D of E Expedition bookings.
